Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Ripperz platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase products on Ripperz. By creating an account or joining the waitlist, you represent that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to request age verification at any time.

3. Products and Odds Disclosure

Ripperz sells randomized card repacks and mystery graded slabs. The odds of receiving any specific card or slab grade are disclosed on each product listing before purchase. All sales are final.

Market values displayed are estimates based on third-party pricing data and do not constitute a guarantee of value. Actual card values fluctuate with market conditions.

4. Digital Vault and Shipping

Upon completing a purchase and reveal, items are held in your digital vault. You may request physical shipment of any vaulted item at any time. Shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility unless otherwise stated. Ripperz is not responsible for items lost or damaged by third-party carriers after handoff.

5. Buyback Program

Ripperz may offer a buyback option on vaulted items for a period of 30 minutes following the digital reveal. After this window, items are automatically vaulted and can no longer be returned through the instant buyback program. Buyback prices are determined by current market data and our internal pricing model. Buyback availability may be suspended at any time.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for fraudulent transactions
• Attempt to manipulate the randomization or reveal system
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent purchase limits or waitlist restrictions
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the platform
• Resell, share, or transfer account access to third parties
• Engage in chargebacks for completed, accurately described purchases

7. Intellectual Property

Ripperz is not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or The Pokémon Company. All Pokémon trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners. We sell physical and graded collectible trading cards as secondary market goods.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ripperz shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of card value or market fluctuations.

9. Privacy Policy — Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate:

• Waitlist: Email address only. No name, phone, or payment info at this stage.
• Account (at launch): Email, display name, shipping address (only when shipping is requested), and purchase history.
• Technical logs: Anonymized request data for security monitoring (e.g., hashed IP addresses). Raw IP addresses are not stored.

We do not collect: social security numbers, government IDs, or sensitive personal data beyond what is strictly needed for payment processing (handled by third-party processors under their own compliance obligations).

10. Privacy Policy — How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Communicate launch updates and early access notifications (waitlist)
• Process orders and manage your vault (at launch)
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes — ever.

11. Privacy Policy — Data Security

We take data security seriously. Our platform employs the following protections:

• All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Database access is restricted to application-level credentials with least-privilege permissions
• Email addresses are stored in a secured, hosted Postgres instance (Neon)
• Rate limiting and honeypot mechanisms protect forms from automated abuse
• We do not store raw IP addresses — only anonymized hashes for security audit purposes

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware of the incident.

12. Privacy Policy — Data Retention & Your Rights

Retention: Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus a standard 90-day deletion period after closure (for dispute resolution).

Your rights: You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Opt out of any marketing communications at any time

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
